Author of the YouTube channel DragTimes has decided to see which car will be the first to accelerate 70 – 250 km/h, a McLaren 720S or a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. The race took place in Jupiter, Florida.
The McLaren supercar comes equipped with a 4.0L turbo engine capable of 720 hp (537 kW). The vehicle accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in mere 2.9 seconds and achieves 300 km/h in 27 s.
The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat normally ships with a 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at 717 hp (535 kW) and accelerated 0-100 in 3.7 seconds. However, the engine of this particular Hellcat had been upgraded to 1,150 hp (858 kW).
Apparently, though, raw horsepower couldn’t prevent the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat from losing the race. The McLaren 720S turned out better in all respects.
