Check out the Bermat GT, a sports car of Italian origin

Bermat, an automaker based in Rovereto Commune, Italy, has announced the carbon-clad Bermat GT sports car. It will first debut as a track-only ‘Pista’ variant next year and later as a road-legal version with two powertrains to choose from.

Lightweight monocoque and all-carbon body will keep the weight as low as 1,100 kilograms (2,425 pounds). The GT-Pista will be compliant to the FIA regulation as a CN category vehicle. Its longitudinally mounted 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine works in tandem with a mechanical supercharger and six-speed sequential transmission. It has a limited-slip differential and a rear-wheel-drive system, and produces between 325 and 406 PS (321 – 400 hp; 239 – 299 kW). Sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes four seconds.

The feature list mentions 19-inch OZ Racing wheels, push-rod suspension, adjustable shocks, and brakes with 380mm rotors and six-piston calipers (the rear axle comes with 355mm brakes and four-piston calipers). Interior highlights include a 12-inch digital dashboard, a sports steering wheel, and bucket seats.

Aside from an ICE car, an all-electric Bermat GT will eventually become available as a daily driver. It is also expected to debut in 2022, but only after the GT-Pista.
