Les Canards de Paris spent seven years designing a tourist bus capable of smoothly transitioning from being driven on asphalt to sailing down Seine.
The vehicle has been preforming city trips since last month, visiting all the major landmarks of Paris before descending into water for a cruise. A water propeller running on electric power grants it a top speed of 10 km/h (6 miles) per hour, while a regular diesel engine carries it along the streets. The battery car be charged from a wall socket.
The driver states he had to obtain as many as six licenses for the project to be legal.
