Meet Vanderhall Brawley, an electric SUV with 4WS

U.S.-based tricycle manufacturer Vanderhall decided to try something new with the off-roading Navarro Concept revealed last year – and here comes its electric mass-market version called the Brawley.

The car has three doors and accommodates four passengers. The front part of the roof and the lower parts of the doors are see-through, and the interior is minimalistic. Features include heated sport seats, an audio system with Bluetooth support, an air conditioner, and a heater.

Power comes from four electric motors paired into two complex units with gear reduction, cooling, current converters and regenerative braking already built in. These two power units produce a cumulative thrust of 409 PS (403 hp / 301 kW) and a peak torque of 651 PS (480 lb-ft). Batteries come in two sizes – 40 and 60 kilowatt-hours – and you can charge either from zero to 80% within less than an hour. The larger battery grants around 322 km (200 miles) of range.

Aside from four-wheel steering, the off-roader boasts huge 35-inch tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels and whopping 559 mm (21.8 inches) of suspension travel.

Prices remain unannounced, but you can already leave a pre-order if interested. The Vanderhall Brawley is being marketed as a model year 2022 vehicle, so it might as well ship later this year.
