Waldow Performance unveils stronger, better Alpine A110

The Alpine A110 is a lightweight sports car that used to be produced between 1961 and 1977 and is wildly popular among collectors. Alpine hasn’t built anything similar for decades, and it wasn’t until 2017 that it finally announced its plans for a remake. The new A110 saw the daylight at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

And this is exactly what the Waldow Performance got their hands on. In its production version, the car comes equipped with a light 1.8-liter engine rated at 252 hp (188 kW). Once upgraded, it rises to 300 hp (224 kW). Don’t be mistaken, the boost is actually pretty substantial for a vehicle that only weighs 1,107 kilograms (2,440 pounds), enabling it to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under 4 seconds.

The body of the car sports a vivid green film wrapping and a swanky body kit consisting of a front spoiler lip, a large rear wing and a number of other, smaller parts.

Among other things, the upgraded Alpine A110 by Waldow Performance features a custom NAP exhaust system opening into a single pipe in the center, lowered suspension and a set of 18-inch custom wheels clad in Michelin pro tires.

On the inside, there is a Wiechers Sport roll cage painted to match the car body.

Chances are good that the car will debut at the upcoming Essen Motor Show and eventually make it into small-batch production.
