Check out a €50k, carburetor-packing Alpina

If you happen to have a spare €49,950 lying around, consider getting this 1982 Alpina C1 2.3, which is essentially a BMW 323i (E21) with a turbocharged engine and a host of exterior and cabin modifications.

The car uses a 2.3-liter inline-six engine (model: M20B23) boosted from 141 to 170 PS (139 to 168 hp; 104 to 125 kW). The torque gets a bump from 190 to 210 Nm (140 to 155 lb-ft), and the top speed from 200 to 208 km/h (124 to 129 mph). While the standard E21 sprints to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 8.7 seconds, the upgraded one manages the same in 7.9 seconds.

The five-speed manual gearbox rocks tighter gear ratios, and a limited-slip differential is installed on the (RWD) rear axle. Brakes sport dual ventilated discs.

Compared to the base coupe, the Alpina has new 16-inch wheels and a few spoilers. Interior novelty comes in the form of a wooden gear stick knob, a roll cage, an in-house designed dashboard, Recaro seats, and a Momo steering wheel.

Buchloe-based tuner created a total of 35 such tuning packages, releasing some already installed on cars and others as DIY kits. Out of these, only a handful had a carburetor included.

The ride is 39 years old with around 57,000 km (35,418 miles) on the odometer.
