Chinese premium car brand Lynk & Co has come out with its newest SUV, the 06. The car utilizes the BMA platform of the Geely Icon and Binyue/Coolray.
The Lynk & Co model range currently includes two SUVs (01 and 02), a sedan (03) and a coupe (05). The 04 will be a hatchback model based on the same principal tech as the 06.
The compact crossover vehicle is 4,340 millimeters (14.24 feet) long, 1,820 mm (5.97 ft.) wide and 1,625 mm (5.33 ft.) tall with 2,640 mm (8.66 ft.) between the axles. The 19-inch wheels wear Continental UltraContact UC6 225/45 R19 tires.
A 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine propels the car forward with 177 hp (132 kW) nd 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is seven-speed automatic. There is also a PHEV version that takes advantage of an electric motor rated at 82 hp (60 kW) and 160 Nm (119 lb-ft) of torque. This one consumes 4.8 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers traveled on average, and can run up to 55 km (34 miles) on electric power alone. You can tell the PHEV version from the regular one by its visible dual exhaust tips.
Open the door to see two 10.25-inch displays, an electronic gear shifter, sporty finishing touches and jeans-like fabric inserts.
Until the Lynk & Co 04 hatchback comes out, the 06 will remain the brand’s smallest and most affordable vehicle on offer.
