1020HP Hispano Suiza Carmen gets an ‘even more exclusive’ edition

Hispano Suiza Fábrica de Automóviles will be coming to this year’s Geneva International Motor Show in March with a new special take on its all-electric supercar named Carmen.

Called Boulogne, the specialty will remind us of the Pre-WWII vehicles that participated in the George Boillot Cup racing series. The production run will be kept down to just 19 units priced at €1.5 million each.
No other details are available right now, except that this is a collaboration with a tuner firm called Tailormade. In all likelihood, the batch will stay stock in terms of powertrain specs.

The Hispano Suiza brand saw its second birth last spring, when the original Carmen EV premiered sporting design cues of the 1930s-era luxury coupe Dubonnet Xenia. Its dual motors were both mounted on the rear axe, driving it with the force of 1,020 horses (760 kilowatts), and an 80-kWh battery gave it at least 400 kilometers of range. Sprinting 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) took less than three seconds, and the top speed was capped at 250 km/h (155 mph). QEV Technologies, a Spanish manufacturer of EVs and EV conversion kits, is currently tasked with mass-producing the Carmen range.
