Philippine authorities wreck 855 contraband vehicles, including supercars

A radical way to deal with corrupted car importers has been recently demonstrated by the government of Philippines. Law enforcers used a heavy bulldozer to crush 14 luxury vehicles worth over 27,000,000 pesos (U.S. $520,000) and further 841 cars flat.

The bulldozer driver began the massacre by squashing such illegal imports as a Maserati Quattroporte, a BMW B12 Alpina, a Porsche 911 GT3, and a number of other cars you’d really, really wish they gave over to you instead of turning into an asphalt ornament. He then proceeded to flatten eight-hundred and forty-one non-luxury vehicles. The wrecks were later swept up and taken away for recycling.

Read on before you share this news using the word ‘unprecedented’. ‘Outrageous’, perhaps, but not ‘unprecedented’. In a similar move in February, Philippine authorities destroyed contraband cars worth over $1,000,000 in total. Whatever it takes to crush the corruption, we guess…
