The British company is primarily known for its high-end sports cars (see the video) and tuned-up Jaguars, but with the Storm II hyper-EV depicted here, it plans to invade the electric vehicle market.
Back in 2014, Lister Cars announced the futuristic coupe as a regular supercar with a supercharged 7.8-liter Jaguar V12 under the hood and around 1,000 horsepower (750 kilowatts) under its command. In 2018, it published the first sketch of the car. Now, a few more sketches appeared along with the unexpected heads-up that the Storm II will run on pure electric power, after all.
The exterior design stays the same as on the 2018 sketch, with the same curved body, aerodynamic kit, carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, roof fin, and front fender air vents.
Nothing is being revealed about the specs of the new EV powertrain right now. If Lister feels like challenging the best of the best – some examples being the Lotus Evija and the Aspark Owl – then the Storm II would have to pack around 2,000 horsepower (1,500 kW).
