The Chinese hypercar manufacturer Techrules has come to the International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland with an updated racing-only model named Ren RS. The vehicle is essentially a lighter version of the original Techrules Ren and comes with a hybrid engine supported by a regenerative brake system.
The drivetrain of the newcomer includes an internal-combustion diesel, as many as six electric motors, a battery array, and two micro-turbine generators for energy recuperation. Its total output reaches 1,305 hp and 2,340 Nm of torque. Driven by it, the vehicle bolts from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3 seconds and hits the manufacturer-set speed limit at 330 km/h (205 mph).
From the structural point of view, the new Techrules Ren RS is a carbon-paneled monocoque. It features a special kind of suspension particularly efficient under heavy load. Owing to a massive 80-liter gasoline tank, the car can cover a distance of up to 1,200 kilometers (745 miles) prior to needing a refill.
According to Techrules, the first Ren RS vehicles to roll off the assembly lines will be handed over to VIP clients, followed by a small-batch release.
