The Singapore-based company Vanda Electrics has a London-headquartered subdivision named Dendrobium Automotive, which has designed and built the Dendrobium D-1 hypercar. The vehicle debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show to general praise and acclaim. The company is now ready to launch series production.
The series-ready prototype of the car will be present at the Salon Prive Concours d’Elegance in London, England at the end of this summer.
The Dendrobium D-1 will get double wishbone suspension for its front and rear wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes and Michelin sport tires. It will be built around a carbon space-frame chassis and have a carbon body.
The hyperfast coupe will get an all-electric powertrain with 1,825 hp (1,361 kW) and 2,000 Nm (1,475 lb·ft) of torque. Weighing in at just 1,750 kilograms (3,860 lb), it will effortlessly accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in trifling 2.7 seconds.
The assembly will take place in Great Britain. Prices will be announced separately.
