The German automotive giant is going to design a high-end sports EV based on the ID.R chassis and tech (see video). The car will boast a brand-new traction battery design and come out in roadster and coupe guises, the manufacturer claims.
The MEB modular architecture will enable developers to create a flexible model equally well suited for a single electric motors or multiple motors, as well as FWD, RWD and AWD.
Nothing is being revealed about the battery. Rumor has it that it might not be a lithium-ion cell battery, but rather something new.
