Leap debuted its C-More Concept last year and is now exhibiting the final production version of the car at the Guangzhou Auto Expo. Pre-orders are being taken in the 160,000 – 200,000 Yuan range, and some preliminary specs are already here.
Powering the EV is a dual-motor system called the Hercules. Mounted one per axle, the duo churns out 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW) and 720 Nm (532 lb-ft) in total, taking the SUV from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds. The battery capacity remains unannounced, but NEDC-rated range amounts to 600 km (404 miles).
A more budget-friendly version is scheduled to arrive later featuring a single engine, 7.9s sprint time and 2WD.
Other notable features include LED Matrix headlights, an SAE Level 3 autonomous system upgradeable to Level 4, and triple displays in the cabin (dash, infotainment and front passenger’s screen).
