The official premiere of a
chic eighth generation sedan took place. As the manufacturer has declared,
Phantom has received the best in the world noise isolation and applies for a
rank of the most expensive car.
The flagship model is
equipped with 130 kilograms of soundproof material. The body of Phantom is
covered with a two-layer varnish coating 6 mm thick. To all, the car has
acquired special Silent-Seal tires, reducing tread noise.
The novelty is built on a
completely new aluminum platform, Architecture of Luxury, which will form the
basis of future models of Rolls-Royce. The architecture made it possible to
make the car body 30% stiffer than its predecessor.
The heart of the car is a
modernized twin-turbo V12 unit with a volume of 6.75 liters. It generates 571
horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. In tandem with him works an eight-speed
automatic from ZF. The dynamic characteristics of the novelty are not
specified.
Among other things, Phantom
received an advanced adaptive air suspension, which, with a special stereo
camera behind the windshield, adapts to any traffic situation. A system called
Magic Carpet Ride works when the car moves at speeds of up to 100 kilometers
per hour. And still, the sedan was equipped with a fully-controlled chassis.

Phantom VIII is made in the classic corporate style of the British brand. The
radiator grille has slightly changed and the headlights have been updated. Also
there is a set of exclusive disks of 22 inches.
Another advantage of a
luxury car was its interior. In the cabin there is no plastic. Everything is
made of leather, glass or metal. The front panel on the passenger side can be
customized according to any customer's wishes. The rear seats are also
custom-made
The standard equipment of
the sedan includes a collision avoidance function with the ability to recognize
pedestrians, adaptive cruise control, a system of circular vision and night
vision, a multimedia complex with a navigator and a Wi-Fi access point.
