Henrik Fisker, CEO and founder of Fisker Inc. who had earlier worked as a designer for Aston Martin, has published first official pictures showing his first self-driving car. The new off-road minivan goes by the name of Orbit and has a distinctive futuristic appearance.
Orbit is going to be equipped with an electric motor whose technical specifications aren’t disclosed at the moment, and a battery with the quick charge option. Its mass production won’t begin until late 2018.
The Fisker company used to design and build environmentally-friendly supercars but ended up going bankrupt in 2013 after producing only 2,450 cars. The enterprise was then purchased by the Chinese company Wanxiang which allowed Henrik Fisker to launch a new brand Fisker Inc.
