SCG readies its car for a trans-Pacific ride… with a pinch of sailing

The American boutique car maker Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has announced a rather ambitious undertaking – apparently, it works on a car which would be able to make a journey all the way from New York to Paris. SCG insists that the new SUV would be able to cover the entire distance on its own, which might funny at first, considering that this would necessitate crossing the Pacific Ocean.

According to CEO and owner of the company James Glickenhaus, the unprecedented journey will start in 2020 on the famous Times Square in New York. The car will head towards the Bering Strait, cross it on a pair of special float attachments, continue through Beijing, Moscow, and St. Petersburg, and ultimately arrive in Paris.

Another challenge Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus keeps in store for its latest creation is an ascension on a Chili volcano just short of 7,000 m (23,000 ft.) tall.

The car will be made available in two- and four-seat versions named Steve and Expedition, accordingly. Both models will come equipped with U.S.-manufactured V8 engines and have a road clearance of 394 mm (15.4”).
