The Al-Attar brothers, founders of Devel Motors, have announced that their Devel Sixteen hypercar packing a 5,007 hp (3,734 kW) powertrain was sold out in ore-orders and won’t be available for the next two years. By the way, becoming the owner of the $1.6M coupe is not a simple matter of handing over the cash. First, you have to prove to the company that you are worthy of driving a mean ride like this.
The car makes use of a purpose-designed V16 engine with 12.3 liters of displacement room, rated at a staggering 5,007 hp (3,734 kW) and 4,771 Nm (3,519 lbft) of torque. Reportedly, it can accelerate to 515 km/h (320 mph) in a straight line and only takes 1.8 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph). Despite all of the above, the vehicle is actually street-legal.
“It is not the driver who chooses the car, but rather the car that chooses the driver,” the company’s motto goes. First and foremost, Devel Motors requires its clients to be aware of the sheer acceleration power of the vehicle and be able to handle it properly.
