Famous Italia-based car atelier Pininfarina has announced the forthcoming release of an all-electric hypercar with a 2,000-horsepower (1,500 kW) engine. The vehicle will reportedly accelerate to 100 km/h (60 mph) in under two seconds.
There are a few fresh teaser pics for us to look at and some details to think about. For one, it is being reported that the sport car will be called the PF0 and will become the strongest light passenger vehicle in the entire history of Italian automotive industry.
For another, it will ship with a digital dashboard and two displays on both sides of the steering wheel. These will be used for navigation and other similar purposes.
Those with the inside knowledge of the car industry expect the vehicle to get a total of four electric motors. Its top speed is going to verge on 400 km/h (250 mph), and it is going to have a traction battery large enough for a 500-kilometer driving range.
Pininfarina will be issuing a limited series of PF0 hypercars. The series will premiere later this month, but it will not go on sale any sooner than 2020.
