The Chinese company will be launching the 05 in Europe next year, but the exact date and pricing remain to be confirmed.
On the outside, the Lynk & Co 05 looks like a coupe-shaped 01, but boasts a wider range of installed equipment, a completely overhauled cabin, and fresher looks. Among other things, it sports new wheels and bumpers, radiator grille, and headlight patterns.
Inside, the company keeps physical controls to a minimum, introducing a variety of large touch panels and displays instead. The center tunnel, steering wheel and dashboard have been redesigned from the 01, a HUD was added, and the infotainment system now has wireless smartphone charging capacity.
Paid options include adaptive cruise control, panoramic glass roof, and power-assisted front seats.
Powering the series is the Volvo Drive-E 2.0 TSI engine rated at 190 hp (142 kW). A couple hybrid variants based on a 1.5-liter/three-cylinder gas engine will become available later. The transmission is always eight-speed automatic, but you can choose between FWD and AWD.
