Car Throttle has discovered the BRC BR53, a racecar with unusual styling, bizarre aerodynamics and plenty of engine thrust.
The body is made of glass fiber and consists of nine panels mounted onto a space frame, resulting in a curb weight as low as 420 kilograms (926 lbs). The inline-four turbo that powers it stems from a Suzuki bike, but with an applied boost to 420 PS (415 hp / 309 kW), it is a very serious engine.
As a result, the track car has one horsepower per every kilogram of its weight. Elsewhere, it sports small 13-inch wheels wrapped in racing slicks and a really unique body kit. Dynamics and sprint times remain unknown.
