Greek automaker Spyros Panopoulos Automotive has unveiled the final production-ready design of its ultracar named Chaos. Prices start from €5.5 million for the base spec and quickly rise to €12.5 million in the top spec. All 20 units planned for production will be pre-sold at an auction, so actual prices might be even higher.
The first thing that makes the coupe unique is its constituent materials. SP Automotive mentions ‘metallic glass’, carbon fiber and Zylon, a polymer with more tensile strength than Kevlar.
The second thing is an in-house-developed 4.0-liter V8 boosted to 2,077 PS (2,048 hp / 1,527 kW) and 1,389 Nm (1,024 lb-ft) of torque in its simplest form. Pay extra, and you will get 3,107 PS (3,064 hp / 2,285 kW) and 1,984 Nm (1,463 lb-ft) instead – or so the company claims, at any rate, because there is no hardware proof yet. The base spec should be able to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 1.9 seconds and the top spec in 1.5 seconds, paving the path for many world records in the future.
The interior is rather minimalistic with a racing steering wheel featuring an in-built display and an infotainment system in front of the passenger’s seat.
