Volkswagen ID.3 gets its first ‘slammed’ stance

Electric car tuning is only starting to gain momentum, but Streetec – known for its ‘null-bar’ suspension parts – is not afraid of challenges. A couple months ago, the team unveiled a slammed Volkswagen ID.3 1st Max Edition, and is now following up with details and a video.

The battery hatchback uses a Bilstein Performance Airride suspension kit along with a Mangan air compressor and a revised Air Lift 3P control system. The tuner says this is as low as the ID.3 will ever go – and you can lift it back to your desired height with a simple button push.

Those looking to cut corners may opt for Bilstein ultralow coilovers instead, sacrificing some of the flexibility in exchange for a lower price.

mbDESIGN, which also participated in the project, came up with a special three-piece forged wheel set for the electric hatch. The five-spoke wheels remind of the KV1-E series and measure 22 inches across / 8 inches wide. The spokes are arranged in the shape of a propeller, following the same aerodynamic theme as the OEM wheels.
