The Volkswagen ID.3 hit the showroom floors last September and proceeded to become Europe’s single most demanded EV with 55,000 units sold within four months despite it being the 204-PS (201-hp / 150-kW) top trim. New trims have arrived now, so let’s see what they bring to the table.
The ID.3 Pro hatchback emerged in Germany in December and is now available in omst of Europe. Its electric motor produces 145 PS (143 hp / 107 kW) and takes it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.6 seconds. A 58-kWh battery supplies enough power for 420 km (280 miles) of WLTP range. Prices begin from €35,000.
Customers in Germany may also now order the ID.3 Pure Performance, which costs €31,500 before subsidies and deductions. It has 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW), sprints in 8.9 seconds, and comes with a 45-kWh battery for 348 km (216 miles) of WLTP range. The entry spec includes a less powerful charging device, but you can pay more to get a high-power version.
An even more affordable trim called Pure is slated to arrive in the second half of 2021 packing the same battery and 110 PS (108 hp / 81 kW). It is expected to be priced under €30,000.
