Volkswagen is in the middle of electrifying its model lineup, which includes a plan to reveal 20 EVs until 2025. No wonder the schedule is tight: after revealing the three-row ID.6 last week, the company now follows up with a performance-laden ID.4 GTX spec.
The final teaser vid shortly focuses on certain details of the crossover. It begins with a demonstration of LED lighting front and rear, an odd choice somewhat because both sets of lights stay unchanged from the regular ID.4. Next up are air intakes and a leather trim with red stitching.
We know little about the ID.4 GTX right now, except for the fact that it will pack more thrust than the standard model and have all-wheel drive. It is unofficially reported that the car will need 6.2 seconds to sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph), making it 2.3 seconds faster than the normal ID.4.
The premiere will be held online tomorrow, April 28, 2021.
