Volkswagen has opened the pre-order books for its latest and greatest all-wheel-drive battery SUV, the ID.4 GTX.
Dual electric motors mounted one per axle provide the car with 299 PS (295 hp / 220 kW) total, enabling it to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.2 seconds and max out at 180 km/h (112 mph).
A 77-kilowatt-hour battery supports charging power up to 125 kW and yields between 340 and 480 kilometers (211–300 miles) of range, depending on the drive mode chosen.
Prices in Germany start at €50,415, with all local buyers eligible for a €7,500 benefit.
Going onwards, VW will put the GTX badge on all top-performance cars in the ID lineup.
