The all-electric ID.4 SUV combines presentable looks with plenty of power, but it might ride a tad too high for your taste. Suspension parts manufacturer H&R has a solution to this.
A full set of springs will set you back €333 including taxes in Germany. It works best with OEM shock absorbers and drops the ride height by 35 mm (1.4 inches) front and 30 mm (1.2 inches) rear. The manufacturer claims the mod reduces swaying and improves cornering and overtaking at higher speeds.
Now, we would expect the Volkswagen ID.4 to be quite competent at those tasks in its production form – after all, it is an electric sports utility vehicle with a low center of gravity. Still, there is no denying that the low ID.4 looks more agile and aggressive than its unmodded counterpart. Would you be inclined to agree?
Around three months ago, H&R launched a lowering kit for another VW-badged bestseller, the Golf R (see video).
