Fisker announces an affordable $40k battery car

Henrik Fisker, CEO of Fisker Automotive/Coachbuild, said his company was working on an all-electric vehicle that would be priced as low as U.S. $40,000 – a very tempting idea, indeed, considering the median prices in this market segment.

Regrettably, he declined any further comment on the upcoming release. There are rumors, though, that Fisker is busy creating its own, brand-new battery technology that would guarantee its cars immediate market success when they finally make it out of the assembly works.

The company has earlier come to the Las-Vegas Consumer Electronic Show (CES-2018) with the Fisker EMotion Concept. Back then, it was announced that the vehicle would go into production in 2019 and hit the market with prices ranging between U.S. $130,000 and $190,000, depending on the trim level.
