We learned that the all-electric Aspark Owl had 2,012 PS (1,984 hp / 1,480 kW) of raw power in late 2019, but the car skipped its Q2 2020 launch due to the pandemic and only came out now.
The company started production in the last week of 2020. A total of 50 units will ship worldwide, including 20 to Europe, 20 to Asia and Middle East countries, and the remaining 10 to North America. Showrooms have already opened in Beurey, France, and Miami, USA, with more scheduled to appear in Europe and Middle East soon. A dealership is also open in Osaka, Japan, right next to the Aspark HQ.
The extreme EV packs a carbon-fiber monocoque body, carbon-ceramic brakes, dual-wishbone suspension, and a carbon aerodynamic kit.
Its four-motor setup churns out the aforementioned 2,012 PS (1,984 hp / 1,480 kW) and 2,000 Nm (1,475 lb-ft) of torque. The traction battery sits behind the seats and is rated at 64 kWh at 800V, which translates into 450 kilometers (280 miles) of driving range according to the NEDC measurement standard. Going from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) is a matter of mere 1.69 seconds, and the top speed amounts to 400 km/h (248 mph). Road clearance is adjustable within the range of 80-160 millimeters (3.12 – 6.25 inches), and the curb weight is 1.9 metric tons (ca. 4,200 lbs).
Standard equipment includes HVAC, stability control, digital gauge cluster, atmospheric ambient lighting, satellite navigation, and side/rear view cameras.
Prices start from €2.9 million in Europe, and all interested customers are asked for a €50,000 refundable advance payment.
