The coupe-shaped electric SUV flashed its sides on the Nürburgring last fall, and has now come to Northern Europe for further tests.
The front end still preserves some of its camo, but we expect it to be largely identical to the VW ID.4 it is based upon. The launch is expected in the second half of 2021, and rumor has it that the ID.4 GTX AWD will debut first, followed by the ID.5 in RWD and AWD variants. The larger ID.6 Crozz and ID.6 X for China will join the lineup this fall based on the same tech.
Finally, this year will see the launches of other ID.5 twins, specifically the Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback and the Skoda Enyaq GT.
According to the recently revealed strategy called Accelerate, Volkswagen AG intends to speed up its transmission to the production of all-electric vehicles.
