The coupe-like ID.5 SUV first showed up on photos during the recent presentation of the GTX variant of the ID.4, and now, the company confirmed that it would also get all-wheel drive.
You may watch the video to get an idea of what the ID.5 looks like, or alternatively browse through the spy photos showing a lightly cladded test vehicle. The overall design of the SUV is close to that of the ID.4 except for the slanted roof at the rear.
In the presentation ad, an ID.5 wearing a psychedelic wrap rides through a rather surreal set of environments, including a crimson forest, a snowy mountainous valley curled into a pipe at the ends, and z raindrop. The camera then zooms out and shows a charger plug.
Volkswagen will premiere the ID.5 GTX in the fourth quarter of the year.
