The second generation of the Trumpchi GA6 sedan/saloon is available in China starting today. The executive car has grown larger and gained serious interior and under-the-hood improvements.
At 4,891 mm (16.05 ft.) long, the new GA6 is 41 mm (1.6 inches) longer than its predecessor and 6 mm (0.2”) longer than the XV50 Toyota Camry.
The cabin of the Trumpchi GA6 is brand-new, save for the obvious Mercedes-Benz analogies. There is an easily recognizable digital dashboard which is united with the touch-enabled multimedia screen. You can also control the entertainment system using your voice or a dedicated knob selector on the center console.
Higher trims benefit from 18-inch wheels, Matrix LEDs, a panoramic glass roof, climate control, all-around view cameras, cruise control, and parking assistance.
Powering the premium sedan is a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine rated at 169 hp (126 kW) and 265 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque, sending the power to the wheels via a six-speed Aisin auto transmission.
The new Trumpchi GA6 starts from 108,800 Chinese Yuan (approx. 15,225 USD), which is 72,000 Yuan (10,075 USD) below the price tag of the local Toyota Camry.
