The ID.3 hatchback and the ID.4 SUV are but a tip of the iceberg that is Volkswagen’s electric car agenda. The company plans to populate the EV market with all kinds of models, including the ID.6 minivan set for Shanghai show reveal next week.
The new teaser pics reveal nothing new, because we have already seen the car on numerous spy photos and patent pics.
Powertrain-wise, the MPV comes driven by a single electric motor rated at 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and an 82-kWh battery. A dual-motor AWD configuration is also expected to arrive sooner or later packing around 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW).
Sales will first begin in China, with Europe set to follow in 2022. Customers in Europe will get a choice between passenger and commercial versions.
