The new ID.6 EV will be made and sold in two technically identical variants called Crozz and X; all differences will boil down to looks.
The FAW-Volkswagen joint enterprise in China will assemble the Crozz, and the SAIC-Volkswagen will produce the X version. Different elements on the outside include both bumpers, fenders, lights, and trunk lids. Inside, you will see different door panels, dashboard, air vents, seats, dashboard graphics, and multimedia interfaces.
Paying premium unlocks a panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, even more electronic assists, and full-fledged second-row seats instead of the regular three-seat bank.
In its most basic form, the ID.6 comes rear-wheel driven with a single electric motor rated at 180 PS (178 hp / 132 kW), although you could opt for a slightly stronger version with 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW). The top spec exerts 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW). The maximum range is NEDC-rated at 588 kilometers (365 miles), which is 152 km (95 miles) more than the base spec offers.
