The German car customization atelier Alpina has revealed its own vision of the BMW X3 diesel-powered Crossover SUV. The vehicle has undergone substantial modifications and become much stronger than before – which, the atelier hopes, is a major selling point. Sales of the new Alpina XD3 will begin in mid-2018.
Prospective buyers may look forward to a car equipped with a revised 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine with 333 hp and 700 Nm of torque. The new Alpina XD3 can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds – which is a really nice result for its weight category. Aside from that, the atelier claims it has managed to achieve better fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
The car comes with custom-designed 20” or 22” wheels and features sports-grade suspension. Several interior trim options will be made available once the upgrade gets released, but these – as well as any price data – will be disclosed later.
