Alpine published a video teaser of the first A120 coupe, which will appear after a 22-year business interruption of the company. The roller focuses on the aerodynamics of the new model, which will be organized in the best traditions of sports and racing cars of the highest level. Thus, the coupe will get a flat bottom and rear diffuser, thanks to which the air resistance will be even lower. Before this, Alpine also spread the images of parts of an aluminum body of future car, made at a factory in French Dieppe. It is noted that the weight of the car shouldn't exceed 1100 kg.
It is supposed that the coupe will be equipped with turbocharged "four" in volume of 1,8 l which is made on the base of 1.6-liter supercharged engine of hot hatch Clio RS. The Engine power will reach 300 h.p. The car needs 4,5 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h.
The debut of coupe will take place in Geneva motor show in March. Alpine has already opened pre-orders for the car, having announced its cost (55 — 60 thousand euros). The first customers will see their cars at the end of the year.
Alpine is French producer of sports cars, belonging to Renault concern. In the nineties of the last century, this brand stopped the release of cars, however in 2016 the company provided Vision concept car, that became its own revival. The design of Vision concept car is based on A120 coupe.
