An unusual electric car prototype by Ampere Electric Cars has premiered earlier today at the International Car Show in Los-Angeles, U.S. Its most prominent feature is the three-wheel chassis.
Creators of the vehicle decided to walk the easy way and named their latest development simply “1”. Ampere 1 features a soft sunshine roof and has two seats. Its body is built around a pipe frame with front suspension resting on dual wishbones. An electric motor drives the rear wheel via a Kevlar belt.
Ampere Electric Cars stresses that the car can travel up to 160 kilometers before discharge. Pre-orders are already accepted at the surprisingly low U.S. $9,900.
