Ares Design unveils a draft of its new Panther supercar

Perhaps tired of only revealing 3D renders of its soon-to-be-released Panther supercar, Ares Design has finally shown its full-scale model. The presentation was part of a closed special event in Italy.

The vehicle is a modern reincarnation and reimagination of the classical De Tomaso Panthera. It is based on the Lamborghini Huracan chassis but has a body custom-built by Ares Design. The one prominent feature immediately reminiscent of the 1970s cars comes in the form of headlights concealed in front wheel arches.

Interestingly enough, Ares Design has exhibited the original De Tomaso Pantera next to their creation. It turns out that the latter is quite a bit bulkier than its predecessor. Unwilling to mess with the original’s fine proportions even further, their engineers ended up having to move the C-pillars to a different position.

The interior of the new Panther by Ares design follows the style of the original up to the point of having the same sports seats.

The vehicle is driven by a naturally aspirated Lamborghini engine which has been improved and connected to a new titanium exhaust system. Its performance went up from the factory-set 610 hp to 660 hp.

Only a few cars priced at € 715,000 or more each will be produced.
