Aria Group, an enterprise primarily involved in the production of space equipment, has shocked the audience of L.A. Car Show with their latest super-hybrid car, the Aria FXE. The newcomer makes extensive use of modern technology: monocoque, chassis and body panels are all made of carbon, while some other parts were 3D-printed.
The junior version of Aria XE comes with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 rated at 720 hp. The “charged” version gets a compressor V8 and two electric motors with 540 hp summary output. Its hybrid unit should therefore be capable of 1150 hp with 1784 Nm torque. With a monster engine like this, the car which weighs more than 1.5 metric tons (3,300 lbs) accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in just 3.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 354 km/h (220 mph).
