BAC says farewell to the 1st generation of Mono single-seaters

UK-based Briggs Automotive Company will be releasing a final trio of its Mono single-seaters before the second generation launches in mid-2021.

The three sports cars will sport a stylish combination of carbon fiber and paint: the lower body will come encased in visible carbon, while the upper body will be available in Neon Red, Carbon Black, and Iconic White. Each of the three will ship with special badges, custom-tailored driver’s seat and wheel, a racing helmet, and hybrid carbon-composite wheels.

The Mono range comes powered by a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine rated at 309 hp (230 kW), which is plenty given the curb weight of just 580 kilograms (1,278 pounds). Powered like this, the supercar needs less than three seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph).

As we said above, the second-gen Mono R will be released in the summer of 2021 and feature a new engine model thus far rated at 345 hp (257 kW).
