The German car maker Borgward, which is now back in the game after a long hiatus, has unveiled its newest SUV, the BX7 TS, at the International Car Show in Guangzhou, China. The appealing sports crossover has already entered retail sales in China, prices varying from 276,800 to 326,800 yuan. It is worth noting that only two years have passed since the prototype had been unveiled.
Compared to the original, the sports version of the Borgward BX7 TS features a revamped radiator grille, aggressive bumpers and bold red highlights throughout the body. Digital dashboard perhaps is the most compelling change in the interior.
Under the hood of the new Borgward BX7 TS sits an updated 2-liter turbocharged engine. Its power went up to 245 HP from just 224, and it is now designed to couple with six-speed automatic transmission. The car only comes in 4WD.
Other highlights include posh 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof and a state-of-the-art multimedia kit. Comfort and safety of the passengers are secured by front and rear emergency airbags, the 360° view system and the night vision system.
During the presentation, the company announced plans to eventually release the sports version of the Borgward BX7 TS in Europe and Russia.
