The German company posted on its page in the social network Facebook image of the new model. Teaser was accompanied by the inscription: "She is back!" - it became clear on her that the novelty would be nothing more than a modern version of the classic sports car of the brand, with the only female name in the line, Isabella.
The cult car was produced
from 1954 to 1962. Borgward Isabella could be purchased in the bodies of a
convertible, station wagon, sedan, pickup and coupe. Under the hood of the
model was a 75-horsepower petrol engine with a working volume of 1.5 liters.
The release of the car stopped on a 200-thousandth copy.
At the moment, Borgward
produces cars only for the Chinese market with the financial support of Chinese
investors, who two years ago revived the brand, which existed from 1929 to
1962.
The world premiere of the
novelty will be held in the framework of the International Motor Show in
Frankfurt.
