The French luxury company
announced the appearance in the model lineup of a supercar with a hybrid
powerplant. Wolfgang Dürheimer, the head of the brand, reported the
inevitability of using hybrid technologies, since internal combustion engines
have already exhausted their potential. He also believes that in the world
there will not be a single production car with characteristics similar to the
Bugatti Chiron. Recall, a high-performance 1500-horsepower car accelerates from
0 to 100 km / h in 2.5 seconds.
Since the life cycle of
Bugatti cars is at least eight years, the possibility of the appearance of a
hybrid car is postponed for 2024. And this is provided that the manufacturer
does not want to release a completely different car after the Bugatti Chiron,
and only after it to launch an electrified supercar. Then the release of the
novelty will be postponed as far back as 2032.
The development of the
Bugatti hybrid, perhaps, is prompted not only by the desire to surpass the
incredible dynamic characteristics of its most powerful model, but also tougher
environmental requirements.
