Check out a taxi turned into a motorhome

The Checker Marathon is a legendary U.S. taxi fleet vehicle produced in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1961 through 1982. Lynds Camper Service had one such car converted into a motorhome in 1977, and it is currently up for grabs at Silodrome.

The so-called ‘Champer’ packs a 6.5-liter GMC V8, an especially robust rear axle, and upgraded brakes all around. IT offers a mini-kitchen complete with gas burners, an oven and a fridge, a dining area and a bedroom.

The refurbished interior stays true to its original 1970s-era styling.
