Levdeo – a China-based automotive company established 12 years ago – renamed itself to Letin and unveiled the first production vehicle under this new marque, a five-door battery car Mengo.
The puny ride measures 3,622 mm long, 1,607 mm wide and 1,925 mm tall with 2,442 mm between the axles. It wears Sailun Ecopro E201 tires sized 165/65 R15 at both ends. Other than this, the specs, availability and prices remain pending.
One interesting thing to note is that Letin, while technically a new brand, gets to keep the old Levdeo badge without any changes. Chinese media claim the Mengo is the company’s fourth production car after the EVs i3 (27-34 hp, 100 km of range), i5 (40 hp, 255 km) and i9 (95 hp, 400 km). This omits two entry-level models known as Lotto and CoCo (both rated at 5 hp and 110 – 150 km of electric range).
On the outside, the Mengo boasts a bi-color paintjob. The inside draws attention to its nine-inch central display, a digital dashboard of unspecified size and a two-spoke steering wheel with the Letin logo sticker applied to it in a hilariously skewed way. Options list includes 5G, voice assistant, Level 3 self-driving system, AR-assisted sat-nav, and as many as 19 storage pockets throughout the cabin.
