The group of small off-road cars has got an addition.
Following the output of Hyundai Kona, Kia Stonic and Nissan Juke, the Spanish
company presented Arona.
The car shares the same module platform with Seat
Ibiza borrowed from Volkswagen MQB A0. The car overall length amounts to 4138
mm, the height is 1543 mm. The luggage space volume is up to 400 liters.
The engine gamma of the crossover includes five
variants: three of them are gasoline and another two are diesel. The first ones
are presented by 1.0-liter aggregates available in two versions – 95 horsepower
and 115 horsepower. The engines operate together with a six-grade manual
transmission or with seven-grade automatic transmission. Also, Arona will be
presented with 150-horsepower 1.5-liter gasoline engine TSI with four
cylinders. As for diesel sliders, the crossover can be equipped with 1.6-liter
engine with the output of 95 or 11 horsepower.
The list of options will include the adaptive cruise
control, a new multimedia complex with the support Android Auto and Apple
CarPlay, acoustics from BeatsAudio with a subwoofer, six loudspeakers and
300-watt eight-channel amplifier, a dual-zone climate control system, reversing
camera, light-emitting diode optics, a keyless entry and an impressive package
of driver’s assistants.
Customers will be offered at their option four sets of
the crossover: Reference, Style, FR and Xcellence. The starting cost of the
crossover is supposed to be about 16 000 euros.
The official first presentation of Seat Arona will
take place in the showroom of Frankfurt in September 2017.
