Fans of the popular American SUV manufacturer from the
site JLWranglerForums, inspired by spy photos of the new generation Jeep
Wrangler, made computer images of the prototype model. And, in addition, they
learned some details about the upcoming novelty.
The main innovation of the new SUV model will be the
advanced all-wheel drive Selec-Trac system with an interaxle differential that
will be installed on the four-door Jeep Wrangler in the Sahara package. For the
first time, the electronics will be responsible for connecting the front axle
to the model.
Under the hood of the novelty will be either a
gasoline turbo quater of 2.0 liters with a start-stop system (in the basic
version), or a 3.6-liter petrol V6 or a three-liter turbodiesel V6. Engine
power, as well as the dynamic characteristics of the car, has not yet been
revealed.
It is known that the transmission will be offered
six-speed mechanics, an eight-band automatic gearbox from Chrysler and an
eight-speed "automatic" 8HP75 manufactured by ZF. So far there is no
information on how they will parody with power units.
The debut of the new Jeep Wrangler generation will
take place at the Auto Show in Los Angeles on December 1.
