Estonian startup announces a 1950s-inspired pickup EV

Automotive industry newbie Nobe has announced its second production model, a compact-sized, battery-powered truck named the 500. The two-seater version is scheduled for its official premiere next summer.

The company never mentioned the exact dimensions of the carbon-chassis car, but an image showing it sitting next to the Nobe 100 tricycle gives us an idea of its size. The trike is 3.65 meters long, 1.56 meters wide and 1.37 meters tall (watch the attached video for a closer look at it).

The range-topping Nobe 100GT comes powered by a single electric motor good for 98 PS (96 hp / 72 kW) and a 25-kWh traction battery. We assume that the company might release the pickup with the same powertrain. The tri-wheel car needs around six seconds to get to 100 km/h (62 mph) and covers around 260 km (162 miles) on a charge. Adjustable air-ride suspension is also possible.

Nobe has an HQ in Tallinn and a branch in the United States, where the company plans to launch its first product later this year.
