FF V9 Concept scheduled for 2019 Auto Shanghai reveal

Chinese Internet provider The9 Limited and U.S. carmaker Faraday Future have announced the creation of a joint enterprise to produce all-electric cars for the Chinese market. The new business is expected to manufacture 300,000 cars per year. Its first concept vehicle, the V9, will be exhibited at the 2019 Auto Shanghai show starting in a week.

Reportedly, the terms of the agreement are simple: The9 Limited invests 600,000,000 USD in the deal, and Faraday Future opens up access to its technologies and secures the rights for the land in China where it wants to build the works.

According to FF CEO, the FF V9 Concept is a luxurious mobile space with seamless Internet integration and AI-powered tech. That said, the car also borrows certain features and tech from the existing FF 91 SUV.

The only teaser available does not make the identity of the Shanghai show vehicle clear enough, mostly looking like a self-driving shuttle or an MPV. We’ll see in a few days, so stay tuned!
