Faraday Future sees its new birth as Evelozcity

A number of high-ranking employees of Faraday Future who had left their company over financial disagreements now formed a new startup enterprise named Evelozcity.

Predictably enough, their mission statement goes “design, develop and deliver the most competitive, capable, connected and clean mobility device for the next generation”. In other words, they are after electric cars again.
The company is now led by the FF’s former Financial Director Stefan Krause and Technical Director Ulrich Kranz. A few others joined in as well, and the startup is hiring.

Whatever the new enterprise has in mind, we’ll be able to see it at the forthcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las-Vegas, U.S.A. starting on January 8, 2018.

The California-based electric car designer Faraday Future used to receive funding from major Chinese investor Jia Yueting. In the beginning of 2017, it came forth with an amazing 1050-horsepower crossover prototype named FF 91, which could run as far as 700 kilometers (435 miles) on batteries alone. Unfortunately, the company fell on financial hard times and had to abandon development of the car completely. Most of the team then left Faraday Future to pursue various other projects.
